Job Description
Our client, a prominent company in the water sector, is currently seeking a Senior Planner to join their team on a permanent basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of major infrastructure projects, ensuring efficient, robust, and accurate planning to meet and exceed project and customer expectations.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nEnsure organisational and project-level planning standards are exceeded across all projects and adhere to planning & control procedures\nAssist with the tender, pre-construction, and delivery of opportunities and live projects by developing and maintaining detailed project plans\nEnsure project plans capture the full project scope, considering resources and meeting contractual & programme-specific requirements\nDevelop and establish optimal construction methodologies and logic sequences by drafting programmes and preparing logistics diagrams\nProactively identify opportunities and risks in the plan\nMonitor the critical path and key milestones, advising the delivery team on potential changes\nDevelop programmes to demonstrate the impact of change in compliance with contractual and project-specific requirements\nVisit sites, attend progress meetings, and update short-term plans, progress reports, and construction programmes\nManage all project reporting requirements, including monthly programme submission, weekly lookaheads, and volumetric analysis\nReview, interrogate, and integrate subcontract programmes into the project programme\n\nJob Requirements:\n\nAdvanced P6 experience and knowledge of NEC\nExperience in leading collaborative planning processes and ability to interrogate and draw information from drawings\nProven ability to communicate complex information to a wide range of audiences under pressurised situations\nAbility to meet tight deadlines and project objectives while supporting team members\nOn site experience and understanding how a project works from inception to completion\nDegree in Civil Engineering / Construction or equivalent\n\nBenefits:\n\nCompetitive salary\nCompany pension\nLife assurance\nPrivate medical insurance\n25 days of annual leave plus 8 public holidays and loyalty days\n8 hours of volunteering leave\nEmployee Assistance Programme\nFlexible benefits via salary sacrifice\nCompany car / car allowance\nIf you have advanced planning skills, particularly with P6 and NEC, and are looking for a challenging role within the water sector, we would love to hear from you.
