Overview

An established asset management business is seeking an Interim Financial Controller to provide senior financial control and reporting expertise during a period of change and increased regulatory focus.

The role will take ownership of core financial control activities while helping to strengthen processes, governance and compliance within a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

• End‑to‑end responsibility for financial control and month‑end close
• Preparation and oversight of US GAAP financial reporting
• Ownership of balance sheet integrity, reconciliations and control frameworks
• Supporting regulatory compliance and managing interactions with auditors and external advisers
• Oversight of US tax considerations, coordinating with external tax providers
• Reviewing and improving finance processes, controls and documentation
• Acting as a senior finance contact across the business
• Delivering high‑quality financial information and ad‑hoc analysis as required

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience as a Financial Controller (ideally in an interim capacity)
• Background within asset management, investments or financial services
• Strong US GAAP experience
• Exposure to US tax within an international or multi‑entity structure
• Comfortable operating in regulated environments
• Hands‑on, pragmatic and delivery‑focused

This role will be £700-£800/day outside IR35 (ltd or umbrella)
