Job Title: Trade Effluent Technical Advisor Location: Crossness Sewage Treatment Works, Abbey Wood, South East London (SE2 9AQ) Contract Type: Permanent Hours: 36 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm). Part‑time arrangements considered. Salary: Competitive annual salary between £28,000 and £32,000 per annum Closing Date: 01/05/2026 Responsibilities

Complete and manage temporary case assessments. Prepare legal documentation and monthly internal reports. Advise customers and retailers on queries. Build relationships with retailers and customers to ensure excellent service. Support trade effluent team members with documentation and PPE requirements. Collaborate with other departments (Wholesale Market Services, Asset Planning, Operational Process Scientists).

Qualifications & Experience

Experience in customer-facing roles and providing excellent customer service. Ability to work within a team environment, meet timescales and targets. IT literate with strong MS Office skills. High attention to detail, logical and analytical mindset. Ability to evaluate, interpret and communicate data from diverse sources. Excellent communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills for liaising with external parties and stakeholders.

Additional Skills and Experience (Beneficial)

Water Industry experience. Knowledge of Thames Water systems: TERMIS, Salesforce, SAP supply chain. Financial experience in revenue generation. Regulatory experience. Valid UK driver’s licence and access to a car for travel to the remote site.
