You’ll handle Trade Effluent applications, raise charges and consent fees, and be the friendly, confident voice supporting customers through calls, letters and enquiries.
What you’ll be doing as a Trade Effluent Technical Advisor
Completing and managing temporary case assessments.
Preparation of legal documentation and monthly internal reports.
Advising customers and retailers with queries.
Building relationships with retailers and customers to ensure excellent customer service.
Supporting the trade effluent team members with documentation and PPE requirements.
Interacting with other departments including Wholesale Market Services, Asset Planning and Operational Process Scientists.
Base location: Crossness Sewage Treatment Works, SE2 9AQ
Working hours: 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9 am–5 pm. Part‑time arrangements can also be considered.
What you should bring to the role
Ability to work within a team environment is essential.
Ability to work to timescales and targets.
IT literate and fully adept in using MS Office programs.
A high level of attention to detail, a logical and analytical mind.
Ability to evaluate, interpret and effectively communicate written data and information from diverse sources.
Experience in customer‑facing roles and providing excellent customer service.
Excellent communication, relationship building and negotiating skills for liaising with external parties and across different levels of stakeholders.
Additional skills and experiences would be beneficial
Water Industry Experience.
Knowledge of Thames Water systems (e.g. TERMIS, Salesforce, SAP supply chain) is desirable.
Financial experience in revenue generation.
Regulatory experience.
Valid UK driver’s licence and access to a car for travel to work, as the site is in a remote location.
