Job Description
Job title: Technical Services Manager
Location: Shell Centre, Belvedere Rd, London SE1 7NA (flexibility to travel to other Shell sites)
Days/Shift Pattern: working 5 out of 7 days
Total Hours Per Week: 40hours
Salary: Highly Competive plus 10% bonus and £1,300 flexible benefit funds

At Shell Centre in London, we’re looking for a Technical Services Manager who can bring calm, credible leadership to a high-profile, high-expectation environment, and genuinely move things forward.
This is a role for someone who enjoys owning the bigger picture while staying close enough to the detail to make smart calls. You’ll lead the onsite technical team and specialist partners, keep standards high and risks controlled, and make sure the site is always compliant and audit-ready. Just as important, you’ll help modernise how maintenance and ensure asset performance are managed, using data, continuous improvement and new technology to drive better decisions, stronger reliability and real value for the client.

What you'll do:
Pioneer Engineering optimisation to improve maintenance strategies and demonstrate Sodexo as best in class
Ensuring that all aspects of the business are conducted in accordance with all relevant statutory requirements and codes of practice.
Ensure that all technical services are delivered in a safe, compliant, diligent and cost-effective manner and in adherence with Sodexo/Shell procedures.
Establish Sodexo, Shell and industry networks to ensure continuous improvement and to provide insight through the effective use of maintenance delivery techniques.
Manage relationships and key interfaces with the client and the clients' key decision makers.
Development of a Sodexo Engineering Apprenticeship pipeline. Ensure the program is creating an environment and support function for progression and maximise value
What we're looking for:
Essential
Qualified engineer with professional engineering qualification
Experience of working in complex/critical environments that have potential high risk on business impact
Sound understanding of Engineering Compliance and statutory compliance
Excellent communication, influencing and facilitation skills
Commercial awareness with budget control
Proven track record in leadership of critical functions
Experience in senior stakeholder management and the ability influence change.
People management and understanding
Sound commercial understanding and acumen
Asbestos awareness and management
Desirable
NEBOSH Qualified
Have held an Authorised Person (Trade Discipline Specific)
Professional Institute member
Certification in Risk Assessment
Management of Legionella, Water Quality Management
