SRM Recruitment have been retained by a reputable, European headquartered M&A Insurance Underwriter who are growing their transactional risk business in the UK. As part of a strategic growth plan they are now looking to recruit an experienced Tax Lawyer with strong M&A experience to join them as a Tax Insurance Underwriter.

Responsibilities:

• Handling the entire underwriting process, with specific focus on UK and Continental Europe starting with confidentiality agreements, preparing non-binding indications, drafting policies, negotiating contract terms and preparing underwriting requests.
• Issue of policy documents
• Establishment and development of international broker and customer relationships
• Building relationships with law firms in different jurisdictions

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years PQE in tax law with a reputable UK based law firm
• UK qualified tax lawyer with current exposure to mid-large cap private M&A
• Your strengths include strong customer orientation, decision-making power and a high degree of persuasiveness, as well as high motivation and resilience
• You have already been able to demonstrate your strong team skills, your high sense of responsibility and your adaptability when dealing with a wide range of technical issues
