Strategy & Commercial Due Diligence (Food & Consumer)Location: London (Hybrid)An independent strategy consultancy specialising in the food and consumer sectors is looking to hire a Strategy Manager to lead high-impact strategy engagements and commercial due diligence projects for private equity and corporate clients.This firm is known for combining deep sector expertise with a people-first culture, offering exposure to complex, senior-level work without the long hours and burnout often associated with larger consultancies.As a Strategy Manager, you will take a leadership role across projects, working directly with Partners and clients while guiding analysts and consultants through complex commercial questions across the food value chain.What You’ll Be DoingLeading commercial and operational due diligence for private equity transactionsManaging end-to-end strategy engagements across growth strategy, market entry, and value creationStructuring complex problems and guiding teams through market analysis, customer segmentation, and competitive assessmentsOverseeing market modelling, commercial analysis, and financial scenario testingSynthesising insights into clear, compelling strategic recommendations for investment committees and boardsManaging project teams and supporting the development of Analysts and ConsultantsBuilding trusted relationships with private equity and corporate clientsWhat They’re Looking For6–9 years’ experience in strategy consulting, commercial due diligence, or transaction advisoryStrong experience leading CDD projects or strategic engagements within Food/Consumer IndustryExcellent analytical, modelling, and problem-structuring capabilitiesDemonstrated ability to manage teams and deliver client-facing workstreamsInterest in food, consumer, or FMCG sectorsA clear, structured communicator who can translate complex analysis into strategic insightSomeone who thrives in collaborative, high-performance environments without aggressive internal competitionWhy This Role Stands OutPeople-centred culture with a genuine focus on sustainability and long-term developmentMore balanced working hours than many tier-one consultanciesSignificant exposure to private equity investors and senior stakeholdersFlat structure with real responsibility and visibility at senior levelsA strong track record of internal progression into Director-level roles #J-18808-Ljbffr
