GMP Recruitment are proud to be partnered with an innovative and award-winning Legal firm in Gloucester who specialise in property related legal work and equity release.


Due to the continued growth and expansion, they are looking to recruit an experienced Property Lawyer/Solicitor to join their dynamic team on a full time, permanent basis.


This is a full-time position that can offer hybrid working following the completion of probation and a salary up to £50,000 pending relevant experience.


They are looking for truly passionate and self-motivated individuals with excellent time management skills who can build upon and directly input to the continued success of the business.

Ideally, you will be a qualified Residential Conveyancer that can provide technical legal guidance, support, and supervision across all transactional teams.


Successful candidates must be a qualified Solicitor, a Chartered Legal Executive or Licenced Conveyancer that can demonstrate a minimum 3 years PQE to be considered.

Property Lawyer/Solicitor main duties:

  • You will handle a range of conveyancing including sales, purchases, re-mortgages, freehold, leasehold, sales and purchase transactions.
  • Leasehold, lease extensions and transfers of equity/equity release.
  • You must be able to demonstrate good technical conveyancing skills as well as the ability to work unsupervised within a friendly, well integrated team unit.
  • Managing own caseload through effective use of case management system.
  • Provide support and supervision to colleagues in the team.

Property Lawyer/Solicitor desired skills and experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience running a complex caseload of residential conveyancing matters.
  • Strong knowledge and technical experience of;
  • Residential conveyancing across the full range of sale, purchase, and re-mortgage matters.
  • Leasehold and lease extension work.
  • Transfers of Equity.
  • New build.
  • SDLT requirements, including relevant reliefs and exemptions, in residential conveyancing matters.
  • Dealing with unregistered properties.
  • The impact of restrictions and cautions lodged against a property and how these might be removed.
  • Strong team management skills with the ability to develop, coach and mentor junior team members.
  • Proven track record of winning new business and developing strong relationships with Estate Agents & Brokers.
