Site Manager - Maintenance\n\nAbout the Opportunity:\n\nAn established organisation is seeking a highly competent and professional Site Manager to take responsibility for the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance, as well as small refurbishment works, across a large and operational university campus. This is a critical role requiring strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage works within a live academic environment, ensuring minimal disruption to university operations.\n\nPosition: Site Manager\n\nLocation: Warwickshire\n\nSalary: £220.00 - £250.00 per day\n\nContract Type: Longterm freelance\n\nStart date: Immediately available\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nLead and manage all on-site activities relating to maintenance and refurbishment projects, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery\nPlan, programme, and coordinate works, including labour, materials, and subcontractor resources\nEnsure full compliance with current Health & Safety legislation, including CDM Regulations, and promote a strong safety culture on site\nUndertake site inductions, toolbox talks, and regular safety inspections and audits\nMonitor and control project progress against agreed programmes, budgets, and quality standards\nLiaise effectively with university stakeholders, consultants, and project teams to ensure clear communication and successful project outcomes\nManage subcontractor performance, ensuring adherence to specifications, contractual obligations, and safety standards\nIdentify, manage, and mitigate risks and issues, implementing corrective actions where necessary\nMaintain accurate site records, including RAMS, permits, progress reports, and quality documentation\nEnsure all works are delivered in line with statutory compliance, university standards, and industry best practices\nSupport project handovers, snagging, and final account processes \n\nCandidate Profile:\n\nDemonstrable experience in a Site Manager role, ideally within maintenance, refurbishment, or small works frameworks\nProven track record of delivering projects within live or operational environments (education, healthcare, or similar highly regulated settings )\nStrong working knowledge of construction processes, building fabric, and M&E coordination\nComprehensive understanding of Health & Safety legislation, including CDM Regulations\nExcellent leadership, organisational, and decision-making capabilities\nStrong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally with a wide range of stakeholders\nAbility to manage multiple concurrent workstreams and prioritise effectively under pressure\nHigh level of attention to detail and commitment to quality \n\nQualifications & Certifications:\n\nSMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) - essential\nCSCS Card (appropriate level) - essential\nFirst Aid at Work - desirable \n\nHow to Apply:\n\nIf you believe your experience matches what is required for this role, please apply with your updated CV
