Senior Mechanical / HVAC Project Manager
Manchester (within a 1 hour commute)

We're looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical / HVAC Project Manager to join this team and play a key role in delivering high-quality mechanical and HVAC projects. You'll take ownership of medium to large-scale projects from start to finish, working closely with clients, site teams, and subcontractors to ensure everything runs smoothly, safely, and on schedule.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys leading projects, solving problems, and building strong working relationships.

What you'll be doing

Managing the full project life cycle - from design review and planning through to installation, commissioning, and handover.
Overseeing all mechanical and HVAC works, including ventilation, heating and cooling systems, chilled water, boilers, pipework, duct work, and associated services.
Taking control of project budgets, cost management, forecasting, and commercial reporting.
Coordinating engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams to keep projects on track.
Carrying out site visits, progress meetings, and quality checks.
Making sure all works meet current legislation, industry standards, and health & safety requirements.
Acting as the main point of contact for clients, consultants, and key stakeholders.
Proactively identifying and resolving technical or delivery challenges.
Supporting value engineering, tender input, and project planning where needed.

About you

You'll be a confident and experienced mechanical or HVAC professional with a proven background in delivering building services projects. You're organised, commercially aware and comfortable leading teams while maintaining excellent client relationships.

Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager or Senior Project Manager within HVAC or building services.
Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and HVAC systems, plant, controls, pipework, and associated services.
Experience managing high-value projects from start to finish.
Ability to juggle multiple projects and teams at the same time.
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Strong understanding of project financials and cost control.
Good knowledge of UK building regulations and industry standards.
