Do you have a passion for supporting young people with additional needs and helping them achieve their full potential? A caring and inclusive secondary school in Enfield, North London is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time, temporary basis from January 2026.
This school prides itself on its nurturing ethos, strong pastoral support, and commitment to inclusion across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5. With a well-established SEN department and experienced leadership team, staff are given the tools, guidance, and encouragement needed to make a genuine difference in students’ lives. The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to students with a range of special educational needs
• Assist students in accessing the curriculum and developing independence
• Support classroom teachers with behaviour, engagement, and differentiation
• Implement strategies set out in EHCPs and support plans
• Build positive, trusting relationships with students and staff
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being hands-on, patient, and proactive in supporting learners with diverse needs.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
• Has experience working with SEN students (school-based or related settings)
• Is calm, empathetic, and resilient
• Has strong communication and teamwork skills
• Is committed to safeguarding and inclusive education
• Is reliable and enthusiastic about making a positive impact
