Are you an experienced and passionate SEMH Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity? A fantastic specialist school in Wandsworth is seeking a dedicated TA to join their team immediately.
This school supports young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, providing a nurturing environment where every student can thrive. They are looking for someone calm, resilient and enthusiastic, with a genuine desire to make a difference.
Role Responsibilities
Supporting students with SEMH needs both in and out of the classroom Delivering tailored interventions and 1:1 support Assisting the teacher with planning, behaviour strategies and progress tracking Building positive, trusting relationships with students Helping to create a safe, structured and encouraging learning environment
Ideal Candidate
Previous experience in an SEMH school or provision is highly desirable Strong behaviour management skills and a supportive approach Ability to remain patient, empathetic, and solution-focused A team player who works well with teachers, therapists, and other staff Must hold a valid Enhanced Child & Adult DBS (on the Update Service or willing to apply)If you're passionate about supporting young people with additional needs and are ready to start immediately, we'd love to hear from you.
