£460 - £500 per week

As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will provide consistent support to pupils who may struggle with emotional regulation, confidence, or behaviour. Your role will involve helping them feel secure, supported, and motivated to take part in learning.

A supportive and inclusive school in Flitwick is seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to work with pupils who require additional help managing social, emotional, and mental health needs. Key Responsibilities of an SEMH Teaching Assistant:

* Assist pupils throughout lessons so they can fully access learning activities
* Encourage positive behaviour and emotional development
* Help students develop resilience and strategies to manage challenges
* Support positive relationships with classmates and staff
* Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN professionals, and pastoral teams
* Contribute to a structured, calm, and supportive classroom environment

You will ideally be:

* Patient and understanding with a calm approach
* Passionate about working with children and supporting their development
* Comfortable building strong and trusting relationships with pupils
* Able to remain calm when managing challenging situations
* A strong communicator who works well within a team

Experience supporting SEMH or SEND needs is beneficial but not required. A positive attitude and willingness to learn within education and training are far more important.
