Road Freight Operator Bradford Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 per year Monday - Friday - 09:00-17:30 (1 hour lunch break)
We're looking for a hands-on Road Freight Operator to join our clients Bradford team. You'll be responsible for coordinating international road shipments across Europe, ensuring cargo moves efficiently, accurately, and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities
Handle client requests for quotations for European road freight shipments, liaising with carriers, agents, and suppliers to provide competitive pricing. End to end management of road freight shipments. Manage all bookings, entering shipment information into the system and coordinating with partners and carriers to arrange transportation. Keep clients informed on shipment progress and proactively resolve any issues to ensure timely delivery. Prepare and issue all necessary documentation, including CMRs, transit papers, certificates, invoices, and customs forms as required. Forward instructions to carriers and ensure documentation is returned and processed correctly. Monitor shipments to meet company standards and customer expectations. Ensure cargo is released only with the correct documentation and cleared payments for non-credit accounts. Review and query supplier invoices when necessary, forwarding details to accounts.
Ideal Candidate Experience
Previous experience in European road freight operations. Experience working for a UK based Freight Forwarder. Groupage an advantage, but not essential Knowledge of road freight documentation, including CMRs and customs paperwork.
