Why This Role Matters
This is a senior commercial leadership mandate within a global financial technology organisation focused on Enterprise Payments and Cards Issuing & Processing platforms.
This is a pure new business (“hunter”) mandate, focused on greenfield client acquisition, distinct from account management or client expansion functions.
The role sits in the Senior Commercial Leadership – UK and Europe Cards & Enterprise Payments carries full ownership of new logo acquisition, revenue delivery and leadership of a high-performing team, with a clear mandate to drive new logo growth and establish strategic banking relationships across the region.
This is a high-impact, front-line revenue role, not a portfolio management or account expansion position.
The Mandate
- Drive new logo acquisition as a pure hunter mandate (greenfield growth) with no reliance on existing account portfolios
- Lead and develop a team of several senior, quota-carrying sales professionals
- Own a regional revenue target in the tens of millions
- Operate as a hands-on player-coach in strategic deals
- Engage at C-level across Tier-1 and Tier-2 banks
- Lead complex, multi-country enterprise sales cycles
- Work closely with Presales, Product, Delivery and Growth functions
The Profile Sought
- Proven regional payments sales leadership (already operating at this level)
- Demonstrated success in pure new business acquisition roles (not account management / farming)
- Strong track record of quota ownership and revenue delivery
- Experience across Enterprise Payments and Cards Issuing / Processing
- Established network across relevant European banking markets
- Ability to lead and challenge senior individual contributors
- Strong deal leadership, commercial discipline and gravitas
Relevant Technology & Industry Exposure
Experience across leading payments and card platform vendors including:
Enterprise Payments: FIS,ACI Worldwide, Volante Technologies, Bottomline, Fiserv, Finastra, Temenos, Oracle, Tietoevry, CGI
Cards / Issuing / Processing: FIS, Fiserv, Worldline, HPS, Nexi, BPC, OpenWay (Way4), Paymentology, Marqeta, Euronet, Visa (including Pismo), Mastercard
