Why This Role Matters


This is a senior commercial leadership mandate within a global financial technology organisation focused on Enterprise Payments and Cards Issuing & Processing platforms.


This is a pure new business (“hunter”) mandate, focused on greenfield client acquisition, distinct from account management or client expansion functions.


The role sits in the Senior Commercial Leadership – UK and Europe Cards & Enterprise Payments carries full ownership of new logo acquisition, revenue delivery and leadership of a high-performing team, with a clear mandate to drive new logo growth and establish strategic banking relationships across the region.


This is a high-impact, front-line revenue role, not a portfolio management or account expansion position.


The Mandate

  • Drive new logo acquisition as a pure hunter mandate (greenfield growth) with no reliance on existing account portfolios
  • Lead and develop a team of several senior, quota-carrying sales professionals
  • Own a regional revenue target in the tens of millions
  • Operate as a hands-on player-coach in strategic deals
  • Engage at C-level across Tier-1 and Tier-2 banks
  • Lead complex, multi-country enterprise sales cycles
  • Work closely with Presales, Product, Delivery and Growth functions


The Profile Sought

  • Proven regional payments sales leadership (already operating at this level)
  • Demonstrated success in pure new business acquisition roles (not account management / farming)
  • Strong track record of quota ownership and revenue delivery
  • Experience across Enterprise Payments and Cards Issuing / Processing
  • Established network across relevant European banking markets
  • Ability to lead and challenge senior individual contributors
  • Strong deal leadership, commercial discipline and gravitas



Relevant Technology & Industry Exposure


Experience across leading payments and card platform vendors including:

Enterprise Payments: FIS,ACI Worldwide, Volante Technologies, Bottomline, Fiserv, Finastra, Temenos, Oracle, Tietoevry, CGI

Cards / Issuing / Processing: FIS, Fiserv, Worldline, HPS, Nexi, BPC, OpenWay (Way4), Paymentology, Marqeta, Euronet, Visa (including Pismo), Mastercard
