Job Description

Our client, a leading firm in the water sector, is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team in North West England. This permanent role involves providing commercial support on various projects to ensure they are delivered within budget and meet the highest standards while exceeding customer expectations.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nCommercially manage a portfolio of projects from development stage through to final account.\nMaintain registers of variations, delays and claims, and ensure consistent implementation of commercial policies and procedures.\nAssist with preparation of monthly progress valuations and claims for completed work.\nLiaise with employers' commercial and client teams to optimise project outcomes.\nProduce tender negotiations and reports when necessary.\nGenerate monthly cost reports, forecasts, and contract budget reports.\nAdvise on risk management and participate in risk workshops.\nPrepare, review, and complete sub-contract documentation.\n\nJob Requirements:\n\nExperience in quantity surveying.\nExperience within the water sector would be .\nProficient in NEC form of contract and commercial management.\nUnderstanding of business systems, cost analysis, and programme evaluation.\nKnowledge of risk management processes and earned value management.\nFull, clean drivers licence.\n\nQualifications:\n\nRelevant degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying.\nHold or nearing completion of full membership with RICS or CICES, or aspiring to commence membership.\n\nBenefits:\n\nProfessional development and training opportunities.\nSupportive and collaborative work environment.\nEmployee benefits package.\nIf you have a strong background in quantity surveying and are seeking a new opportunity in the water sector, we would love to hear from you.
