Job Description

We're supporting a well-established specialist civil engineering and reinforced concrete contractor with the appointment of a Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team. The business delivers complex groundworks, RC frame and structural packages across technically challenging projects.\n \n This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven QS looking to take ownership of key packages within a structured and supportive environment.\n\nThe Role\n\nReporting into a Senior Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of your allocated project(s) from procurement through to final account.\n \n Key responsibilities include:\n\nSubcontract procurement and package management\nContract administration (NEC predominantly, with some JCT exposure)\nManaging valuations, variations and change control\nProducing cost reports, forecasts and CVRs\nSupporting subcontractor negotiations and final accounts\nWorking closely with operational teams to monitor cost and riskYou will be given genuine responsibility while operating within a strong commercial framework.\n\nAbout You\n\nExperience working as a Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering, groundworks or RC frame environments\nWorking knowledge of NEC contracts\nStrong commercial awareness and negotiation capability\nConfident managing subcontractor accounts and reporting\nDegree qualified (Quantity Surveying or similar) \n \n If you're a Quantity Surveyor looking to develop within a specialist civil engineering environment, get in touch for a confidential discussion.\n\nAldwych Consulting values and promotes equality.
