Job Description
Job Title: Quantity Surveyor\n Rate: £635.75 per day\n Contract Length: 51 working days\n Location: Lichfield (3 days per week on-site)\n Client: Public Sector (MOD)\n Working Pattern: Part-time (3 days per week)\n Interview Process: 1-stage Teams interview (conversational / suitability-based)\n\n About the Role\n We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support a specialist team delivering cost and pricing analysis across Facilities Management (FM) projects within the UK Defence estate. These projects are valued in excess of £100m and require detailed cost modelling and commercial insight.\n\n You will join a collaborative team of Quantity Surveyors responsible for developing should-cost models, pricing booklets, and supporting tender evaluations. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-value, nationally significant projects.\n\n Key Responsibilities\n \nProduce cost estimates for FM projects using in-house data and/or BCIS \nDevelop and adapt pricing booklets using Excel-based models \nBuild and refine cost models in collaboration with commercial teams \nAnalyse tender submissions and provide insights to support business cases \nPrepare detailed tender reports using Microsoft Word \nWork independently while liaising with the wider QS and commercial teams \nProvide ad-hoc pricing and estimating support \nReview internal data for inconsistencies and anomalies Essential Requirements\n \nDegree in Quantity Surveying \nMinimum of 5 years' post-degree experience as a Quantity Surveyor \nStrong Excel skills (essential) \nExperience in cost modelling, estimating, and tender analysis \nAbility to work independently and manage deliverables \nActive SC Clearance
