Quality Engineer

* Support, Implement and monitor all Quality Assurance systems to ensure compliance with AS9100 as well as all required company, customer and regulatory requirements.
* Support customer requirements including RCCA, business development initiatives and workshops.
* Act as a point of contact on all quality matters both internally and externally including suppliers.
* Support internal and external audit scheduling to maintain all accreditations across the business.
* Support company Red Table NCR/RCCA activities.
* Ability to review and decipher First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR’s).
* Support & Present during key customer business reviews.
* Encourage and implement standard processes and practice across the business.
* To act as a change agent ensuring the implementation of more robust quality controls and operating systems.
* Support and lead development of Waste Reduction & Variation Reduction practices and initiatives within the business.
* Undertaking any other duties, either for this department or any other department within the business, which may be requested by the Line Manager, for which training and/or explanation has been provided or understood. *Skills and experience required:** HNC in relevant discipline or Professional Quality Engineering qualification.
* AS9100 ISO9001 lead audit trained preferred.
* Good understanding of the aerospace market.
* Wide knowledge of product and processes used in the manufacture of aerospace parts and assemblies.
* Auditing experience.
* Champion / Lead continuous Improvement.
* Presenting skills (written and verbal).
* Experience of using problem solving techniques.
* Use of inspection and measuring equipment.
* Ability to read and decipher engineering drawings.
* Knowledge of AS, ISO and NADCAP standards.
* Highly analytical with excellent attention to detail.
* Ability to combine good business acumen with effective decision making.
* Ability to thrive within a fast-paced manufacturing business environment.
* High levels of integrity, autonomy and self-motivation.
* Ability to multi-task and prioritise workload.
* Strategic thinker with the ability to influence others.
* Credible and confident communicator (written and verbal).
