Job Description

One of our clients within the Grid, Digital Solutions and Energy Infrastructure sector is seeking an experienced Project Controls Manager to support complex power and HV transmission projects.\n\nWorking closely with project leadership and delivery teams, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining robust project controls frameworks across cost, schedule, and reporting.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nCollaborate with planners, cost engineers, and project teams to define and implement an effective project controls strategy\nOversee all planning, scheduling, cost estimating, and cost analysis activities\nIdentify programme impacts and support the development of mitigation and recovery plans\nProduce and present integrated cost and schedule reports, including forecasts and performance updates\nDevelop, manage, and execute the full project controls plan across the project lifecycle\nManage progress measurement systems and ensure accurate tracking of project performance\nPrepare consolidated reports for senior stakeholders, highlighting risks, issues, and recommended corrective actions\n\nCandidate Profile\n\nDegree‑qualified in Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)\nProfessional project management certification advantageous\nMaster's degree in a relevant field beneficial but not essential\nStrong proficiency in Primavera P6 (Microsoft Project knowledge desirable)\nAdvanced user of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)\nSolid understanding of cost control and basic financial principles\nExperience in contract and claims management advantageous\nConfident communicator with strong written and spoken English\n\nPlease click to find out more about our Key Information Documents.
