One of our clients within the Grid, Digital Solutions and Energy Infrastructure sector is seeking an experienced Project Controls Manager to support complex power and HV transmission projects.
Working closely with project leadership and delivery teams, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining robust project controls frameworks across cost, schedule, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with planners, cost engineers, and project teams to define and implement an effective project controls strategy
Oversee all planning, scheduling, cost estimating, and cost analysis activities
Identify programme impacts and support the development of mitigation and recovery plans
Produce and present integrated cost and schedule reports, including forecasts and performance updates
Develop, manage, and execute the full project controls plan across the project lifecycle
Manage progress measurement systems and ensure accurate tracking of project performance
Prepare consolidated reports for senior stakeholders, highlighting risks, issues, and recommended corrective actions
Candidate Profile
Degree‑qualified in Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
Professional project management certification advantageous
Master's degree in a relevant field beneficial but not essential
Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 (Microsoft Project knowledge desirable)
Advanced user of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Solid understanding of cost control and basic financial principles
Experience in contract and claims management advantageous
Confident communicator with strong written and spoken English
