Job Description

We are working with a highly regarded Legal 500 firm seeking a Private Client Solicitor to support the ambitious growth plans of their Leeds team.


You will join a large national Private Client team advising high net worth individuals and families on estate and succession planning, including the legal and tax aspects of wealth structuring. This role offers exposure to high-quality work, excellent resources, and the opportunity to develop specialist interests within private client matters.


What you'll be doing:

  • Advising on estate and succession planning for high net-worth individuals and families
  • Drafting and implementing complex wills, lifetime trusts, deeds of variation, and powers of attorney
  • Managing estate administration matters from start to finish
  • Providing advice on lifetime IHT planning and the taxation of trusts and estates
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues and external professional advisors
  • Contributing to business development and supporting the continued growth of the team


About you:

  • Qualified solicitor with a strong background in private client work
  • Experienced in handling complex wills, trusts, estate administration, and related matters
  • STEP qualified or currently working towards the qualification
  • Strong technical knowledge of IHT planning and trust/estate taxation
  • Commercially aware with good financial discipline and team collaboration skills
  • A proactive approach to business development
