Job Description
A growing specialty insurance business is looking to hire an Operations Analyst to join its operations function.
The role
You will support the oversight, quality and usability of operational insurance data across multiple platforms, helping ensure information is accurate, timely and fit for reporting and analysis. You will also play a key part in producing dashboards and management information, identifying issues in source data, and supporting process improvement across the wider operation.
Key responsibilities
Support the management and monitoring of operational insurance data
Review and investigate data quality issues, working with internal teams and external providers to resolve them
Assist in producing clear, reliable MI and dashboard reporting for business stakeholders
Create and maintain reporting outputs in Power BI
Prepare structured datasets for analysis across operational and business functions
Identify areas where reporting, controls and processes can be improved
Contribute to a more efficient and less manual reporting environment
Liaise with stakeholders across operations, underwriting and related teams to support ongoing data and process improvement
About you
Experience in an operations, reporting, data or analyst role within insurance
Strong hands-on experience using Power BI to build or develop dashboards
Comfortable working with insurance operational data
Exposure to BDX / bordereaux / PAS data would be highly advantageous
Prior experience in a delegated authority, MGA or Lloyd’s market environment is
Strong Excel skills
Good attention to detail and the ability to spot inconsistencies or issues in data
Confident communicator, able to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
