Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Manager to lead our team in providing exceptional care and education for young children. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience managing a nursery environment.
This role requires excellent communication skills, leadership abilities, and a genuine love for working with children.
Duties
- Oversee the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for all children.
- Manage staff, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities to enhance their skills.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programmes that promote children's learning and development.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, addressing any concerns or feedback regarding their child's progress.
- Drive initiatives to maintain high standards of childcare and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Foster a positive atmosphere that encourages teamwork and collaboration among staff members.
- Monitor children's progress and well-being, ensuring that each child's individual needs are met.
Experience
- Proven experience in a nursery or childcare setting is essential.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to engage with children, parents, and staff.
- A background in early childhood education is highly desirable.
- Experience working with children of various age groups, demonstrating an understanding of their developmental needs.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification
- Maths GCSE
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Passion for early childhood education
- Experience in a nursery setting.
