Deputy Nursery Manager (Assistant Manager) based Hemel Hempstead

Salary: £15.25 per hour

Hours: Monday to Friday

Are you passionate about early years education and ready to take the next step in your childcare career? Blue Arrow are looking for a dedicated and experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to join our client's team to support the Nursery Manager in delivering outstanding care and education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing the day-to-day running of the nursery ensuring high-quality childcare provision.
• Support staff management, including recruitment, training, and performance monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with Ofsted and Early Years Foundation Stage standards.
• Maintain effective communication with parents, staff, and external agencies.
• Help manage nursery finances and occupancy to meet targets.
• Take responsibility in the Manager's absence and contribute to nursery development plans.
• Oversee health & safety, safeguarding, and promote equality and diversity within the nursery.

About You:

• Proven experience in a senior childcare role, ideally Deputy or Assistant Manager level.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Knowledge of Ofsted regulations and EYFS framework.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare.
• Ability to work flexibly within a Monday to Friday schedule.
