Location: New Malden (Hybrid - 3 days onsite)
Salary: £75,000 - £85,000 + Bonus + Benefits

This role blends technical leadership with hands-on engineering oversight, ideal for someone who can lead teams while driving high-quality delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Mechanical Engineering team
- Oversee lifecycle delivery of mechanical/electromechanical systems
- Ensure quality of designs, analyses, and technical documentation
- Manage resources, recruitment, and team capability
- Drive delivery against cost, schedule, and performance targets
- Improve engineering processes, standards, and best practices
- Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple programmes
Skills & Experience
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
- Experience in defence, maritime, or aerospace systems
- Strong knowledge of design, manufacturing, and analysis
- Proven team leadership and capability development
- Ability to review and approve engineering outputs
- Strong stakeholder communication skills
Desirable
- Chartered Engineer status
- CREO, Windchill or similar CAD/PLM tools
- Knowledge of REACH/RoHS, FEA, CFD
