Your new company \nYou'll be joining a well‑established housing provider committed to delivering high‑quality, customer‑focused services across its communities. The organisation is dedicated to ensuring homes are re‑let efficiently, customers receive an excellent service experience, and sustainable tenancies are created through strong partnership working.\n\nYour new role \nAs a Lettings Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the re‑letting of properties, ensuring that homes are empty for the shortest time possible. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, you will contribute to exceptional customer service and smooth end‑to‑end lettings processes.Your responsibilities will include:\n\nAssisting with the Notice to Quit process and liaising with relevant teams and external agencies.\nArranging pre‑termination inspections and coordinating with operational teams.\nPreparing tenancy sign‑up packs, including all required documentation.\nIssuing rent cards and updating tenancy and census records accurately.\nSupporting housing‑related enquiries and maintaining consistent communication with customers.\nCompleting local authority statistical returns in line with reporting schedules.\nManaging administrative tasks such as procurement system updates, record‑keeping, filing, and general office duties.\nEnsuring all data recorded is clear, accurate, and compliant with regulatory requirements.\n\nWhat you'll need to succeed \nTo excel in this role, you will bring:\n\nExperience working in a busy office environment with the ability to work effectively under pressure.\nA track record of meeting deadlines and delivering accurate work first time.\nExcellent communication and customer service skills.\nUnderstanding of lettings processes, housing law or different tenures (desirable).\nStrong IT proficiency, particularly with Word, Excel, Outlook and online portals.\nA proactive, solution‑focused approach with strong organisational and prioritisation skills.\nA commitment to teamwork, equality and diversity.\n\nWhat you'll get in return \n\nAn hourly pay rate of up to £18.74.\nHybrid working, offering a flexible blend of home and office‑based work.\nPart‑time hours of 17.5 per week, providing an excellent work‑life balance.\nThe opportunity to work within a supportive and experienced team committed to outstanding customer service.\nValuable experience within a busy lettings environment, with opportunities to broaden your knowledge of housing operations and tenancy management.\nThe chance to contribute directly to improving communities and delivering a high‑quality service to customers.\n\nWhat you need to do now \nIf you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.\nIf this job isn't quite right for you, but you are looking for a new position, please contact us for a confidential discussion about your career.\n\nHays Specialist Recruitment Limited acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
