Morson Edge is supporting a leading UK infrastructure and construction business in the search for a Construction Counsel to join its in-house legal team. This is a high-impact role providing specialist construction law support across complex projects and contracts. The role offers flexible working with the requirement to travel to the Birmingham office one day per week. The Role You will be responsible for delivering strategic legal advice on a wide range of construction and infrastructure matters, with a particular focus on contract risk, dispute resolution, and project support. Key responsibilities include: Advising on NEC-based supply and construction contracts Leading construction contract disputes and adjudications Reviewing and negotiating NEC, JCT, FIDIC and related contracts Supporting project structuring (JVs, alliances, subcontracting) Partnering with commercial teams and Quantity Surveyors Providing risk assessment and governance across regional projects Supporting capex programmes and contractual risk management
