Occasional weekends work
Shift Pattern: 7:00am3:00pm and 12:00pm8:00pm (rotational)

About the Role
We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated Kitchen Assistant to join our Catering Team. This is an important role within the Hospital, supporting the smooth and efficient operation of the kitchen and ensuring high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and food safety are maintained at all times. You will play a key part in helping to deliver a high-quality catering service for patients, staff and visitors.

Main Responsibilities
Carrying out general kitchen cleaning duties to maintain high hygiene standards
Washing pots, pans, crockery and cutlery
Cleaning food preparation areas, equipment, walls, floors and work surfaces
Assisting with the unloading and storage of food and equipment deliveries
Keeping storerooms clean, tidy and well organised
Disposing of waste promptly and correctly
Supporting basic food preparation tasks when required, such as peeling and chopping vegetables
