Reed Recruitment are recruiting for: HSE & Compliance Co-ordinator Hours: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week (inclusive of 1-hour break) Salary: £27,000 - £32,000 per annum About the Role We are seeking an experienced HSE & Compliance Co-ordinator to join a leading UK supplier of bakery products and ingredients. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in ensuring compliance and safety standards across the business. Reporting to the Group HSE & Compliance Manager , you will support the depot management team in implementing Quality, Environmental, and Health & Safety policies. You will maintain compliance standards, conduct internal audits, and act as the main point of contact for accreditation and compliance visits. Key Responsibilities Implement and maintain Quality Standards and QMS accreditation (BRCGS). Conduct internal audits and assist with third-party audits. Manage pest control, hygiene, and instrument calibration. Monitor customer complaints and ensure corrective actions. Oversee health & safety inspections, risk assessments, and fire drills. Ensure compliance with environmental legislation. Prepare QHSE documentation and statistical reports. Act as the site's lead competent person for Health & Safety. Liaise with suppliers, insurers, and contractors to ensure compliance. Promote a culture of continuous improvement across all departments. Requirements Essential: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office programs. IOSH qualification (Health & Safety). Internal Auditor training. Valid UK driving licence. Awareness of BRC standards (Storage & Distribution). Desirable: NEBOSH certificate or equivalent. Awareness of Quality Standards and Health & Safety regulations.
