The school is seeking an inspiring and experienced Head of History to lead their successful department on a temporary basis from 13th April until 17th July, with the potential for the role to be extended. The Role As Head of History, you will: Provide strong leadership and strategic direction for the History department Support and mentor teaching staff to deliver engaging, high-quality lessons Oversee curriculum planning, assessment, and departmental development Ensure high standards of teaching, learning, and student progress Work closely with SLT and contribute to the wider school community What We’re Looking For Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential Proven experience teaching History at secondary level Previous Head of Department or leadership experience is highly desirable Strong organisational skills and xehkeey the ability to inspire both staff and students A commitment to maintaining the school’s high academic standards Why Apply?
