About the Role

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Exams Officer / Exams Administrator to join our team at a thriving college in South East London. This is a vital role within the college, ensuring that all examinations and assessments are planned, administered, and delivered effectively, in line with awarding body requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the full examinations cycle, including entries, timetabling, rooming, invigilation, and results.

*

Liaise with exam boards and awarding organisations to ensure compliance with regulations.

*

Manage exam entries and registrations, ensuring accuracy and deadlines are met.

*

Organise exam timetables and communicate schedules clearly to staff, students, and parents.

*

Co-ordinate and train invigilators; ensure proper supervision of examination sessions.

*

Maintain accurate and secure records of student data, results, and certificates.

*

Administer access arrangements in line with JCQ and awarding body guidelines.

*

Support with college-wide data management and reporting as required.

*

Provide administrative support to the Exams Manager/SLT as needed.

Key Skills & Experience

*

Knowledge of office and administrative systems.

*

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

*

Strong organisational and diary management skills.

*

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

*

Excellent IT skills, including spreadsheets (Excel), databases, email, and word processing.

*

Strong communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with staff, students, and external bodies.

*

Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

*

A systematic and meticulous approach to tasks.

*

Previous experience as an Exams Officer / Exams Administrator (preferable, though training will be given).
