Estimator (Assistant to Senior Level)

Location: Leeds

Sector: Fit-Out & Refurbishment (Commercial, Industrial & Retail)

Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 (depending on experience) + package

The Company

Our client is an established main contractor based in Leeds, specialising in fit-out and refurbishment projects across the commercial, industrial, and retail sectors. They have built a strong reputation through a mix of competitive tendering and repeat business, with a stable team where employees typically stay 5+ years.

Projects range from £30K to £3M, with a strong pipeline of work in the £500K range.

The Role

Due to continued growth, our client is looking to appoint an Estimator, with consideration given to both Assistant and Senior-level candidates.

You will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates across a range of fit-out and refurbishment projects, working closely with the commercial and delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions Analyse drawings, specifications, and project requirements Obtain and assess subcontractor and supplier quotations Identify risks, opportunities, and value engineering options Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders Support bid strategy and contribute to winning new work Ensure all submissions are completed accurately and on time

Requirements

Experience in estimating within construction (fit-out/refurbishment ) Open to Assistant through to Senior-level candidates Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously Good communication and organisational skills
