We are looking for a passionate and reliable Commis Chef to join our kitchen team in Witney. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, and presentation.
Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 3:00pm
- Includes a 30-minute unpaid break
- Occasional weekend and evening shifts required to support the team:
- Weekend day rate: £15.00 per hour
- Night shifts (6:00pm – 2:00am): £16.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the highest standards of food hygiene, safety, and presentation in line with HACCP and Health & Safety legislation
- Support menu preparation and ensure consistent delivery of high-quality dishes
- Work proactively as part of the kitchen team alongside the Head Chef
- Assist with Front of House service when required
- Ensure full compliance with allergen awareness and procedures
Requirements:
- Good understanding of food preparation and kitchen operations
- Allergen training (or willingness to complete training)
- A positive, team-focused attitude with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
Uniform Requirements:
- All chefs xbpsjku must wear long-sleeve chef jackets and non-slip shoes at all times
