Behaviour Mentor / Primary SEMH Teaching Assistant – Bexley Contract: Permanent, Full Time, Term Time Only Start Date: January 2026 Salary: From £25,000 per annum (dependent on experience) Location: Bexley, South-East London We are seeking an experienced Behaviour Mentor / Primary SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our team on a permanent, full-time, term-time only basis starting January 2026. This role is ideal for a confident, reliable and resilient professional with strong behaviour management skills and experience supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Role Overview: Behaviour Mentor/ SEMH Teaching Assistant As a key member of our inclusion team, you will: Deliver targeted 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEMH needs
Support pupils to regulate their behaviour, build resilience and engage fully in learning
Implement behaviour plans and de-escalation strategies
Work closely with class teachers, the SENCO and wider support staff
Maintain a calm, structured, and nurturing classroom environment
Encourage independence, emotional development and social skills
