AC Engineer - London & Home Counties Hill McGlynn is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing building services contractor for an experienced AC Engineer to join their team covering London and the Home Counties. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer looking for stability, strong earning potential, and long-term career progression. Salary & Package - £45,000 - £50,000 basic (dependent on experience and skill set) - OTE £65,000 - £75,000 with overtime and bonuses - Travel time paid on any travel over 1 hour per day - Regular overtime opportunities to significantly boost earnings - Company van, fuel card, phone, and uniform provided - 29 days paid holiday - Company pension scheme - Full-time, permanent position Role Overview You will be responsible for the service, maintenance, fault-finding, and repair of air conditioning systems across commercial sites throughout London and the Home Counties. Key Requirements - Minimum 5 years' experience within the M&E / air conditioning sector - Strong experience with fault-finding and repair of: - VRF systems - Split systems - Experience working on refrigeration plant including: - Walk-in cold rooms - Drinks chillers/langers - Standalone units (desirable) - Ability to work independently on: - Refrigerant recovery - Pressure testing - Brazed repairs - Compressor changes (VRF and split systems) - Experience working with major manufacturers such as: Daikin, Mitsubishi Electric, Toshiba, Panasonic - Desirable - Ability to produce clear and detailed remedial and repair reports - Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team - Previous experience working within commercial environments - Participation in a 1-in-4 call-out rota - Full UK Driving Licence (maximum 6 points) Qualifications - F-Gas Category 1 (essential) Why Apply?
