As Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day running of the kitchen. You’ll work closely with the Head Chef and senior kitchen team to maintain high standards of food quality, efficiency, and team performance. You’ll have the opportunity to showcase your leadership skills while helping mentor junior chefs and ensuring a smooth and seamless kitchen operation. *Kitchen Leadership:* Assist in managing the kitchen team, providing guidance and support to junior chefs, and ensuring that all kitchen staff are working efficiently and to the highest standards. * *Menu Execution:* Oversee the preparation and cooking of dishes, ensuring consistency in quality, taste, and presentation. Help implement new dishes or seasonal menu changes as directed by the Head Chef. * *Quality Control:* Ensure that all food leaving the kitchen meets Twelve’s standards for flavour, presentation, and portioning. Be vigilant about the quality and consistency of every dish, and address any issues as they arise during service. * *Stock & Inventory Management:* Work with the Head Chef to manage kitchen stock, ensuring that ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and rotated. Assist with ordering and stock control to minimise waste and ensure cost-effectiveness. * *Health & Safety Compliance:* Ensure that all health and safety standards, including food safety, sanitation, and hygiene procedures, are strictly followed in the kitchen. * *Team Collaboration:* Foster a positive and productive working environment, encouraging teamwork and communication between the kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure the smooth flow of service. * *Training & Development:* Mentor and train junior kitchen staff, providing them with the skills and knowledge to grow within the team.
