Job Purpose

To provide high-quality, person-centred night-time dementia care to private clients in their own homes. The role focuses on safety, reassurance, calm companionship, and culturally sensitive communication in Turkish throughout the night.

Key Responsibilities

Night-Time Dementia & Personal Care

• Provide attentive overnight support to clients living with dementia
• Assist with toileting, repositioning, continence care, and personal comfort
• Respond calmly to night-time confusion, agitation, or wandering

Safety & Monitoring

• Monitor wellbeing throughout the night and respond appropriately to changes
• Support safe mobility and reduce fall risks
• Escalate concerns in line with care plans and GoCarely procedures

Companionship & Reassurance

• Offer calm, reassuring communication in Turkish to reduce anxiety
• Provide emotional support and orientation during night-time wakefulness

Records & Handover

• Maintain accurate night-time care notes and incident records
• Provide clear handover to day staff or family where required

Professional Standards

• Follow GoCarely policies, safeguarding procedures, and CQC requirements
• Maintain confidentiality and professional conduct at all times
• Attend mandatory training and ongoing development
  

Person Specification

Essential

• Fluent spoken Turkish
• 3–5 years’ professional experience in dementia care
• Proven experience working night shifts in domiciliary, live-in, or private care
• Right to work in the UK
• Calm, patient, and reliable, with strong night-time awareness

Desirable

• NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care
• Experience with moderate to advanced dementia
• First Aid or Dementia Care training
  

Working Hours

• Full-time night shifts
• Shift pattern to be confirmed (e.g. 10pm–7am)
