A bit about the job As a Trading Underwriter - Property & Casualty - New Business, you’ll be aligned to a portfolio of brokers and customers across the Midlands, working to profitably grow their commercial book of business. You’ll underwrite new business and use data insights to deliver whole customer solutions. You’ll be out on broker visits regularly, so flexibility to travel is essential. This role sits within our SME team, and you’ll play a key part in delivering our strategy and building Aviva’s reputation as the insurer of choice. Skills and experience we’re looking for

Previous P&C underwriting experience is essential Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess risk and present effectively to brokers and customers Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills, with confidence in face‑to‑face meetings Ability to work collaboratively across a large, complex organisation Good knowledge of FCA regulations and relevant legislation
