My client, a major player in financial infrastructure, is undergoing a significant systems modernisation programme and is looking for a Technical Business Analyst to help bridge the gap between business requirements and engineering delivery. This role requires someone with strong technical awareness, stakeholder communication skills, and the ability to operate in fast-paced, high-pressure environments. What youll be doing Mapping out the existing landscape including legacy systems to inform future-state architecture. Working closely with engineering and project teams to identify blockers and keep projects moving. Rapidly developing an understanding of the platforms and the products they support. Translating business needs into clear, actionable technical requirements and documentation. Securing stakeholder sign-off on requirements and ensuring alignment across all parties. Acting as a trusted liaison between business and technology asking the right questions and offering the right solutions. Producing detailed, accurate project documentation with minimal supervision. Managing multiple streams of work under pressure, staying focused despite complexity. Supporting a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement. What theyre looking for Must-haves: 5+ years experience as a Business Analyst, ideally within the finance sector. Strong background in system migrations and digital transformation projects. Confident working with legacy platforms and understanding the technical constraints involved. Proven ability to collaborate with technical teams and non-technical stakeholders alike. Excellent documentation and communication skills. Highly organised with strong attention to detail. Comfortable juggling multiple deadlines in a dynamic environment. A natural team player who thrives in collaborative environments. Nice to haves: Familiarity with tools like JIRA and the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Experience with modern BA tools and methodologies. Understanding of how to write technical specifications for engineering teams.
