Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with a forward-thinking college in Hounslow to recruit a dedicated Teaching Assistant for a full-time role starting in January 2026. This position is ideal for someone passionate about supporting secondary-aged students with behavioural needs and helping them thrive both academically and emotionally.
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students within the classroom, promoting positive behaviour, and contributing to a safe and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide targeted support to students with behavioural challenges Promote positive behaviour and engagement in lessons Work closely with teaching staff to implement behaviour strategies Support students' academic progress and emotional wellbeing
Person Specification
Experience supporting students with behavioural needs Strong behaviour and classroom management skills Patient, resilient, and proactive approach Passion for supporting young people to succeed
Essential Requirements
Experience working with secondary-aged students Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Degree-level qualification (Education or related subject preferred) Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) Overseas police checks (if applicable) Professional references
Working Hours
Monday to Friday 8:30am - 4:00pm
