Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant (SEMH) to join an outstanding SEMH school in Widnes, Halton on a long term, supply basis through Academics. In this role, you will work closely with individual students who require additional support due to SEMH challenges and behavioural difficulties. As a Teaching Assistant (SEMH), your primary focus will be to provide tailored support that promotes their academic progress, emotional well-being, and personal development.
Your key responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant (SEMH):
Provide 1:1 support to students with SEMH needs, helping them engage positively with their learning. Implement strategies to manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour in line with the school's behaviour policies. Collaborate with teaching staff, SENCO, and other professionals to create a supportive and inclusive environment. Support the emotional and social development of students, promoting self-regulation and resilience.
