Steel Detailer Location: Harrogate Type: Permanent, Full-Time Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 + Excellent Benefits Sector: structural steel fabrication / construction Steelwork Detailer – Exciting Opportunity with a Specialist Steel Contractor A leading specialist contractor with in-house steelwork capability is seeking an experienced Steelwork Detailer to join their growing technical team. This hands-on role involves working on complex structural steel and temporary works packages, where your detailed drawings will directly inform what gets fabricated and built. The Role As a Steelwork Detailer, you will: Produce detailed fabrication and erection drawings using Tekla Structures Accurately model steelwork assemblies, connections, and components to suit fabrication and site conditions Generate GA drawings, material lists, bolt lists, and CNC files Liaise closely with engineers, fabricators, and site teams to resolve design and detailing queries Apply a buildability-focused approach to all outputs, ensuring accuracy and practicality Ensure models and drawings comply with relevant codes, client standards, and internal QA procedures The Ideal Candidate Proven steelwork detailing experience
