Solicitor Motor (02 PQE) Belfast| Hybrid Working My client is seeking a Solicitor (02 years PQE) to join their growing Motor litigation team in Northern Ireland. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior solicitor to develop their career handling a varied caseload of litigated Credit Hire and Personal Injury motor claims across both County Court and High Court work. My client is a highly regarded provider of legal and claims solutions to the insurance sector, with a strong reputation recognised by leading legal directories. Their Northern Ireland office has experienced significant growth in recent years and now supports a large, specialist team dedicated to defendant insurance litigation. The Role You will manage a varied caseload of motor-related litigation matters, working closely with colleagues, insurers and counsel to progress claims effectively while delivering excellent client service. Key responsibilities will include: Handling a caseload of litigated Credit Hire and Personal Injury motor claims within the County Court and High Court jurisdictions Working as part of the Motor team as an insurance defence litigation specialist Building and maintaining strong professional relationships with colleagues, clients and third parties Identifying and progressing the next steps on files within agreed handling authority Interviewing witnesses and drafting witness statements Liaising with insurers, insured parties, witnesses and other claim participants Drafting pleadings, applications and other legal documents Instructing counsel and attending conferences, consultations and mediations (remotely and in person) Attending court hearings, trials and settlement conferences where required Maintaining accurate case management records and client reporting information Delivering against agreed performance targets and service standards Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements About You This position would suit a motivated and enthusiastic solicitor with up to 2 years PQE who is keen to develop their expertise in defendant insurance litigation. You will have: A law degree and qualification as a solicitor (02 years PQE) Strong written and verbal communication skills Good telephone advocacy skills Excellent organisational and time management abilities Strong research and analytical skills The ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines and perform well under pressure Confidence to take initiative and adapt to changing circumstances A professional and positive approach when working with colleagues and clients Previous experience in defence insurance litigation would be advantageous but is not essential.
