Due to project growth the position of Site Manager has become available to join our successful team based in Marks Tey, Essex, To provide all necessary coordination of personnel / local delivery partners (LDP's) and site management, customer care officers, supervision and technical support in the delivery of Construction work (replacement, reinforcements, diversions, multiple occupancy buildings, reinstatement etc.) activities in accordance with designers directions across the East of England network. Maximise the Customer experience, ensuring Costain's customer commitments to Cadent are met and customer initiatives are always a high priority. Consistently demonstrate, promote and develop high standards of safety and compliance behaviour, leading by example.Consistently demonstrate, promote and develop high standards of safety behaviour, leading by example.Develop a programme of work ensuring that projects are issued, monitored, delivered (to cost and time) in accordance with legislative, regulatory, Cadent technical standards, policies and proceduresAct as competent person for Flow Stopping and Commissioning Operations in line with Cadent Safe Control of Operations, Main Laying and Service Laying ProceduresManage the performance of the supply chain to ensure key contract objectives are deliveredAct as a key advocate for the contract with senior representatives from local authority organisations to promote Cadent activitiesManage engineering teams to optimise operational activities thus ensuring key business objectives are deliveredManage the engineering teams ensuring the highest standard of customer service and safety standards are delivered, providing assurance through audit and inspection, taking appropriate action to address areas of improvementSupport the Area Manager in identifying areas for improvement, leading on initiatives as appropriateMaximise staff engagement through actively contributing at team talks, address staff issues, identifying development needs, deliver as appropriate toolbox talks, safety briefings and team briefsInvestigate and resolve customer queries, claims and complaints in an expedient and professional mannerUndertake or assist with incident reporting, investigations, submission of final reports as well as close out of remedial actionsUndertake or be working towards Temporary Works Supervisor (TWS) duties for temporary works operations. Continually monitor operative's performance and foster a culture of team working and safety, creating a culture of zero tolerance of safety and compliance breaches and working towards Injury Free EnvironmentCarry out standby and call out duties as requiredCarry out any other reasonable duties appropriate for the role. Previous gas supervisory experience is beneficial but not essential.Ability to lead a team, influence and drive performanceHigh standards of safety and customer behaviour, leading by example, promoting safety and customer cultureWorking knowledge of relevant codes of practice, safety and statutory regulationsExperience in delivering works in a safe and compliant mannerGood communications skills required (written and verbal)CP statusExperience in operations relevant to SCO procedures (beneficial but not essential)Current UK driving licenceAnalytical and problem solving skillsCompetent Person for routine operations (SCO5)Authorising Engineer for permit to work for excavations (SCO2)Temporary Works Appointed Person (Temporary Work Supervisor - BS5975)SHEA GasWorking at Height appreciationUMSTS / SMSTS #J-18808-Ljbffr
