The position offers excellent opportunities for personal development and to grow with the business.\n\nAbout The Role:\n\nThe main purpose of the role will be to manage the day-to-day site-based activities and operational teams for the Company's major infrastructure projects, delivering works safely and within deadlines. You will ensure work complies with all relevant legislation and industry best practice.\n\nKey Accountabilities:\n\nCo-ordinate all aspects of work so that the project is completed in line with client requirements, within budget and on time.\nManage own teams' performance and competence of all responsible staff including sub-contractors.\nAssist in the management of project specific preliminaries.\nLiaise with the client, sub-contractors, and other trades.\nIssue Work Instructions and RAM's and co-ordinate the requirement for any Client specific safety documentation (e.g., Permit to Dig, Break / No break Zones, CDM documentation)\nEnsure all relevant Operatives are signed on to the correct RAMS.\nEnsure weekly track sheets and diaries are completed and submitted on time.\nConduct site audits and plant checks\nMaintain and update Phase Health & Safety plan as works proceed.\nPlan, co-ordinate and manage resources required to complete works.\nRegularly monitor the programme delivery and provide site progress reports to the Project Manager\nEnsure suitable levels of supervision of all direct teams and subcontracted resources.\nIssue subcontractors with a regular short-term programme to ensure the planned progress is achieved.\nEnsure installation complies with relevant For Construction Drawings and Cross sections.\nTake responsibility for the opening and closing of the site facilities.\nManagement of site facilities; welfare, toilets, offices, compound area etc.\nManagement of site housekeeping, discipline, behaviour etc\nSafe storage and co-ordination of materials and monitoring of waste\nTake responsibility for the accurate / timely completion of site-based documentation.\nAttendance at project and company related meetings, compile site reports as necessary.\nMentor and train Assistant Site Manager and junior members of staff\nComply with all the roles and responsibilities as set out within the SHEQ management system.\nUpon completion of works leave all work areas cleared of building rubbish and reinstate gardens and footpaths, etc in accordance with contract requirements.\nMonitoring use of PPE in accordance with the hierarchy of risk control\nTo complete time sheets for all Operatives on your site - and to return the complete time sheets and overtime request forms to the Contracts Manager by the end of every week.\nAttend all mandatory training courses related to your role.\nTake responsibility for the safety of yourself and others - deliver toolbox talks and embed a culture of zero harm.\nLiaise with the client, consultants, contract administrator, head office, local authority representatives ensuring any client and public complaints are resolved efficiently.\nBe aware at all times of possible commercial opportunities.\nPerform other duties and responsibilities as assigned from time to time.\nResponsible for placing orders for materials through the procurement team\nResponsible for ordering Plant & Transport through the P&T departmentAbout you:\n\nEssential Skills, Knowledge & Experience:\n\nExisting Experience as a site manager\nCPCS CSCS cards\nSMSTS\nNRSWA: Streetworks Supervisor\nConfined Spaces\nDeep Excavation / Temporary works supervisor\nEmergency First AidBenefits:\n\nAuto-enrolment pension\nDeath in service 1x salary\nOccupational Health Surveillance\nEmployee Assistance Programme\nFunded Qualifications and Training\nCompany vehicle and fuel cardAdditional Information:\n\nWe respectfully request no agencies at this time.\n\nAll applicants must reside and have the right to live and work in the UK.\n\nPlease click on the APPLY button to send your CV and Cover Letter for this role.\n\nCandidates with the relevant experience or job titles of: Site Manager, Project Coordinator, Site Supervisor, Health and Safety Operative, NEBOSH, Construction Site Manager and Infrastructure Project Site Management may also be considered for this role
