CarmichaelUK are seeking a Site Engineer to join the Structures team on a major highways scheme in Gloucestershire. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain long-term experience on a nationally significant project, working within a collaborative and safety-first environment.\n\nRole\n\nAs a Site Engineer, you will support the delivery of structural works by ensuring quality compliance, accurate documentation, and effective supervision of on-site activities. You will work closely with the Section Engineer and the wider project team to ensure construction is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the required standards.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nAssisting in the supervision of subcontractors on site.\n\t\nMonitoring and recording site activities in line with programme and specifications.\n\t\nSupporting the preparation of method statements, risk assessments (RAMS), and inspection/test plans (ITPs).\n\t\nCarrying out quality checks and maintaining accurate site records.\n\t\nAssisting in resolving technical queries and liaising with the project team.\n\t\nEnsuring health, safety, and environmental standards are upheld at all times.\n\nSkills & Experience\n\nDegree or equivalent in Civil Engineering.\n\t\nPrevious experience in a Site Engineer role, ideally within highways or structures.\n\t\nStrong knowledge of quality processes and site documentation (RAMS, ITPs, QA).\n\t\nGood communication and teamwork skills.\n\t\nCSCS card essential; SSSTS desirable
