We're looking for a Site Engineer to join our KierBam JV project at Devonport Dockyard based in Plymouth, Devon. KierBAM are a Joint Venture (JV) partnership between Kier and Bam Nuttall we are currently delivering the redevelopment project at a Royal Navy site

Location: Site Based, Plymouth, Devon
\nHours: Permanent 45 hours per week
\n\n
Responsibilities
\nAs a Site Engineer you'll be working within the Nuclear team, supporting them in delivering the redevelopment project at the Dockyard
\nYour day to day will include:
\n- \n
- Assist in the recording and testing of workmanship and materials, i.e., drainage, concrete, piling, brickwork etc. \n
- Assist in providing engineering support to ensure technical problems are overcome and technical queries are answered. \n
- Responsible for setting out works constructed within allowable tolerances. \n
- Regularly checking the setting out points and benchmarks and checking that all setting out instruments and measuring equipment are delivered to site with a calibration certificate and recorded accordingly. \n
- Responsible for providing and maintaining setting out and dimensional control, to ensure accurate construction of the work. \n
What are we looking for as a Site Engineer?
\nThis role of Site Engineer is great for you if:
\n- \n
- Degree qualification in civil engineering or equivalent is desirable – one or more of:
BSc, BA, BEng, Meng, Eng, Tech, MICE, TIStructE, LCIBSE, LCIBSEEng Tech,
Completion of Higher Apprenticeship. \n - Familiar in Leica Survey equipment (GPS, Total Station, Optical & digital levels) for Setting Out & Survey \n
- Experience in similar role. \n
Due to the site being a high Security Military Naval base, additional security checks will need to be made – BPSS level of security clearance is required. These checks can take up to 8 weeks to process. Only candidates holding EU, NATO, 5 Eyes, or MISWG member passports and have been a UK residence for the last 5 years can be considered for this role.
