We are seeking an experienced and professional Vehicle Service Advisor on behalf of our client, a reputable family-run automotive business with over 100 years of service.

The Vehicle Service Advisor position offers an excellent opportunity to join a multi-franchise-approved dealership in Gloucester, delivering exceptional customer service and driving business success.

Greet customers promptly and professionally within the Service Department
Book vehicles in for repairs and routine servicing as a Service Advisor
Liaise extensively with the workshop to track work in progress and ensure timely completions
Advise customers on additional products and services, upselling where appropriate
Keep customers fully informed on the status of their vehicle throughout the service process
Take payments for works completed accurately
Assist in achieving workshop sales and service targets
Maintain excellent customer relationships to promote repeat business and customer satisfactionRequirements:

Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience as a Service Advisor or in a similar customer service position within an automotive dealership or garage environment
Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport and influence customers effectively
Passionate about the automotive industry, with a good understanding of vehicle servicing and repairs
Organised, with excellent IT skills; experience with the Autoview dealer management system is advantageous but not essential
Knowledge of automotive warranty procedures and liaising with manufacturers is desirable but not mandatory
